Where's the best place to find Bankruptcy Information online?

The internet is good for a lot of things. But it is not the way to decide whether bankruptcy is right for you.

Stay away from those websites offering sounds-to-good-to-be-true solutions to your financial problems or proposing to analyze your circumstances online. That is just asking for trouble. A good rule is to never provide personal financial information online.

On the Bankruptcy Court Website click on Bankruptcy Basics. It provides an explanation of the different chapters under which a bankruptcy case may be filed and answers some of the most commonly asked questions about the bankruptcy process. It is not a guide for filing for bankruptcy. The sections on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 are of particular interest to individuals.
